Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Satellite Atlas (the “App”), made by Superstellar LLC (“we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the App.

What Satellite Atlas is — and isn’t

Satellite Atlas is a game. Each day your in-game satellite “downlinks” a small number of real map cells, and you discover one, receiving a virtual, in-app certificate of first discovery for that cell.

Discovering a cell in Satellite Atlas is a purely virtual, in-game event. It does not grant, transfer, or represent any real-world property right, deed, title, easement, or legal claim of any kind over any physical land, building, or location — anywhere, ever, no matter what language the app uses (like “claim” or “own”). A certificate is a collectible record inside our database, nothing more.

Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding agreement to use the App. If you’re under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the App with the involvement of a parent or guardian as required by applicable law. Certain features (trading and crew/ social features) require an age-verified account of 13 or older; we may restrict features for any account we can’t verify as old enough.

Your account

• You sign in with Sign in with Apple; you’re responsible for keeping your Apple ID secure, since it’s the only way into your Satellite Atlas account.
• Choose a handle that isn’t impersonating someone else, isn’t offensive, and doesn’t violate anyone’s rights. We can rename or suspend a handle that breaks this.
• One account per person. Don’t create multiple accounts to get around limits or trade with yourself.

Trading, virtual items, and no cash-out

Cards and certificates can be traded card-for-card with other players (“crewmates”). There is no in-app currency — trading is always item-for-item, decided by the players involved. Virtual items in Satellite Atlas:

• Have no real-world monetary value.
• Cannot be exchanged for real money, cryptocurrency, or anything outside the game, whether through us or any third party.
• Exist only as records in our systems — you don’t own them as property, you have a limited license to use them in the App for as long as your account and the App exist.

Any future purchase in the App is strictly cosmetic — appearance only. Purchases never grant reach, resolution, choice, a claim, or an advantage of any kind; nothing is ever pay-to-win. Purchases are age-gated and never offered to an account we haven’t verified as adult.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Cheat, exploit bugs, automate play (bots), or interfere with the fairness of the daily discovery mechanic for other players.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other players, including through crew/trading features.
• Attempt to buy, sell, or trade accounts, certificates, or virtual items for real-world money or value outside the App.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the App or its backend beyond what applicable law expressly permits.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion, with or without notice depending on severity.

Intellectual property

The App, its design, art, and software are owned by Superstellar LLC or its licensors and protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for its intended purpose. Map imagery and geographic data displayed in the App belong to their respective providers and are used under license.

Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is,” especially during closed alpha / beta testing (including TestFlight), where features, balance, and availability may change or break without notice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, and are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, legal requirements, or if we discontinue the App.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the App evolves. If we make a material change, we’ll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Superstellar LLC, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
